The Canadian film industry is one that most people believe does not exist. That is because there is no market potential for Canadian films. Simply put, Canadians are not seeing Canadian films, which in turn create a lack of (good) Canadian films
There seems to be an attitude with most film goers that they must either love a film or absolutely loathe it. This is ridiculous as there is a huge and wide spectrum in between. Clint Eastwood’s Hereafter is one of those films. It is not one I either overtly liked or disliked. There are aspects within it that work well, and others that do not.

I’m a big fan of the no expectations approach to viewing films, which causes a horrible situation in which I as a reviewer must express my opinion of a film in the hope of convincing (or deterring) others from viewing the same film.
