There seems to be an attitude with most film goers that they must either love a film or absolutely loathe it.
I’m a big fan of the no expectations approach to viewing films, which causes a horrible situation in which I as a reviewer must express my opinion of a film in the hope of convincing (or deterring) others from viewing the same film. For this reason, I have decided to kick off this blog with a review of my favourite film from last year that you probably will not be able to see for quite some time.

Every Christmas Eve following evening church service, my family observes a few long-standing traditions. We bake a few last-minute things to take to my grandmother’s the following evening, we stay up all night wrapping gifts (as a result of collective procrastination) and we watch either The Muppet Christmas Carol or The Santa Clause. These movies, while somewhat juvenile, instilled in me an early appreciation for Christmas, and as such, will always be special.
